of the Year

Bill Jones has made such a positive impression on farmers in east Alabama he has picked up a couple of special nicknames.

One is "Genius Jones." The other is "Dr. Jones." They underline his ability to answer the toughest agricultural questions or develop "farming cures."

"You just can’t stump him because he’ll have the answers on what chemicals to use, how much they cost, when to spray, what to spray and a lot more," said Talladega County farmer Jeff Sims. "Bill is such a blessing for us around here."

Jones’ management abilities have impressed officials with Alabama Farmers Cooperative (AFC), too, and that’s the reason he has been selected as the 2010 E.P. Garrett Manager of the Year.
