Three Hartselle Elementary Schools Join PALS

On a recent visit to Morgan County, I had the pleasure of meeting with THREE Clean Campus Schools in one day! Students from Crestline Elementary, F.E. Burleson Elementary and Barkley Bridge Elementary all had the chance to hear my 30-minute anti-litter message. Each school has made a commitment to keep their campus and community more beautiful by taking part in our program.

All three of these schools are impressive in their own ways. Crestline Elementary has a beautiful outdoor classroom with different stations for students to learn and stay engaged in environmental education. They have recently added chickens and a composting bin to their already-extraordinary outdoor space! F.E. Burleson has a most efficient cafeteria with recycling stations and an area to retrieve scraps for their composting bin. They also have a very fruitful outdoor garden! Barkley Bridge students are avid recyclers and love to make art and projects from recycled materials!

Each of these schools does their part in keeping Hartselle, Morgan County and Alabama a greener and cleaner place to live. If a school near you would like to join the Clean Campus Program, have them check us out online at www.alpals.org or give me a call at (334) 263-7737 to get connected. The Clean Campus Program is FREE to all Alabama Public and Private Schools and strives to create lifelong stewards of our environment through education.
