Decatur’s New Police Boat

The 25-foot purpose-built mission specific RIBCraft will be used by the Decatur Police Department for tactical operations and on water patrols. The new RIB will enable Decatur Police to fulfill technical rescue and hazardous materials mitigation. It comes thanks to a federal grant and lots of donations from the River City’s business community, of which Alabama Farmers Cooperative was one. Pictured from left are Sgt. Mike Cowart; Lt.
