CCJCA County Competition Provides Scholarships to Seniors

The Crenshaw County Junior Cattlemen’s Association (CCJCA) hosted the annual County Competition on January 28-29, 2011, at the Tom Harbin Farm Center in Luverne. Students from all three public schools in Crenshaw County competed along with students from Crenshaw Christian. Additionally, CCJCA hosted an invitational steer and heifer show that started after the county competition concluded on Saturday. Families from throughout South Alabama and North Florida attended this Belt Buckle Classic Show. Results from both the county competition and the Belt Buckle Classic are listed below. CCJCA would like to express appreciation to all the sponsors who made the county competition such a great success. Luverne Cooperative Services, Inc. was one of the sponsors of the CCJCA competition.

Monies raised by this fundraiser are used to provide scholarships to qualifying seniors in all Crenshaw County schools. Eleven scholarships were provided in 2010.
